The statistics for homelessness, particularly for youth, are getting worse according to the ABS Census and the statistical outcomes for young people exiting foster care have not changed in over 10 years.

It is no secret that the foster care system is in crisis.  Carers are exiting the system at an unprecedented rate with 1277 leaving in 9 months.  Case worker turn over is at an all time high and the outcomes for children who have experienced out-of-home care range from severe mental health issues, drug and alcohol addiction or juvenile justice.

More needs to be done and here at Foster Care Angels we believe that with some changes in mindset a huge, positive impact can be achieved.
